New route from Plymouth - St Malo with great value offers are perfect for a pre-Christmas break in France
Brittany Ferries has announced the introduction of a new route this winter to the picturesque walled port of St Malo, with the weekly overnight service leaving Plymouth every Tuesday and returning Friday.
This schedule is perfect for a short break, and Brittany Ferries has come up with some great value "Cruise & Stay" packages from just £109 per person for 3 nights including ferry crossings and hotel.
St Malo is the ideal short break destination as it is not only pretty but there is so much to see and do. Its heart is the old walled town, known as "intra-muros" or "within these walls" and visitors can walk round the ramparts of the mile-long 20-foot thick walls for splendid views of the town and the harbour. The port's winding streets are full of quaint shops, bars and restaurants and outside there are sandy beaches and islands to explore.
Brittany Ferries has chosen a range of 9 hotels, from the typically French Hotel de l'Univers situated "intra-muros" facing a popular square, to the Hotel Beaufort located outside the walls but right on the sea front.
Mike Bevens, Group Commercial Director, comments: "These breaks really do represent outstanding value for anyone in the West Country who fancies getting away this winter as we have used our buying power to secure fantastic hotel rates and we are passing these savings on to the customer. These trips are great for stocking up on some wine as well as Christmas shopping."
