Hostel Accommodation in France

France has two chains of youth hostels: FUAJ and LFAJ. Both offer low-cost, basic but comfortable sleeping accommodation, with washrooms, recreation rooms, etc. suitable for cyclists, walkers, hikers and anyone travelling on a budget. You can buy breakfast and evening meals, or cook your own.

They offer very good value for groups, and often have good conference/ teaching rooms. Group organisers will get good rates and every assistance for bookings outside the peak holiday season. Hostels are also suitable for independent travellers, and generally offer special facilities for families. You will need to be a member of your national association to use one.
